We are currently looking for a Maintenance Supervisor who possesses exceptional, proven leadership skills. This candidate will be directly responsible for coordinating and overseeing all maintenance activities in the plant to ensure the efficient, safe, and reliable operation of equipment and facilities. This critical role includes effectively managing maintenance staff, scheduling preventive maintenance, troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues, and supporting production through timely repairs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Leadership & Supervision

  • Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance technicians (mechanical, electrical, planner and facilities).
  • Assign daily work orders and ensure completion according to production priorities.
  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of maintenance personnel.

Maintenance Operations

  • Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and equipment history.
  • Coordinate external contractors and suppliers when needed.

Continuous Improvement & Planning

  • Analyze recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions.
  • Collaborate with production to improve machine reliability and efficiency.
  • Support capital projects, installations, and process upgrades.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance budget within assigned limits.

Education & Experience

  • Technical diploma or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanics, or Electrical preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
  • Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or lead role.

Technical Skills

  • Strong mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of PLCs and automated production equipment (an asset).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals.
